How to Measure Windows
Recess Mount
 |
Window is to be measured internally, both horizontally & vertically where indicated. Double horizontal measurements must be taken to ensure window is square. |
Outside Mount
 |
Window is to be measured externally, both horizontally & vertically where indicated. Architraves should be included to ensure total window coverage to prevent filtering through sides of blinds. Ensure Blind measurements are correct to totally cover windows by following these simple steps. |
Step One
Mounting that best suits application must be chosen from below.
- Attached inside of between the sides of the window frame or wall.
- Attached to an overhead surface such as the inside top of window
frame of the ceiling. - Attached to the architrave or outside of the window frame.
Step Two
Measure where you want the blind to hang, make sure that the blind is centered and level. When it’s positioned properly, make a small pencil mark where required to show where to attach the mounting brackets.
Step Three
Hold one bracket at desired position you have chosen and mark the screw holes with a pencil. *Note: Pilot holes may need to be drilled before screwing to prevent splitting of timber. Then insert and tighten screw through the bracket slots.
Step Four
After the first bracket is mounted, carefully position and attach the second bracket. Double check to be sure that it is level with the first bracket and that the brackets are the required distance apart. Align & attach any centre bracket supports.
Step Five
Lift and position blind into attached brackets & secure into place. Double check blind is fixed securely & all bracket(s) are in place. Blind can now be operated as normal.
